District 9930 Foundation Committee

The role of the District Rotary Foundation Committee (DRFC) is to promote The Rotary Foundation (TRF), encourage personal and club giving to the Foundation and encourage clubs to apply for Rotary Foundation grants.

The Committee is made up of Rotarians from across our district. We are available to speak to clubs, to assist with grant applications, and provide support for club projects involving the Foundation. Any Rotarian interested in joining the DRFC should approach the Chair. Being part of this committee provides an excellent opportunity to extend your knowledge, move beyond club roles and make a difference in the world.

To help your club fully engage in TRF we encourage you to; have two Rotary Foundation talks each year, enter your Foundation Giving goals into Rotary Club Central and have a named Rotary Foundation Chair or Champion who has completed the relevant courses in the Rotary Learning Centre.

The Rotary Foundation is one of the most respected charitable organisations in the world, with 100% four star rating from Charity Navigator (a charity watchdog) every year since 2008. It is the primary means by which we as Rotarians accomplish our service goals globally. From eradicating polio to promoting world understanding, peace and goodwill, the Foundation is the tool by which Rotary makes a meaningful difference in the lives of others. The Foundation’s funds come largely from club contributions and personal giving by Rotarians and others.
