Grants available from The Rotary Foundation
The Rotary Foundation (TRF) makes grants available to clubs and districts to enable Rotarians to ‘do good in the world’. Whether you want to support a local or international scholar, plant a trees in your town, set up micro-business for a community in Tanzania or respond to local flooding, there is likely to be a Rotary Foundation grant that will suit your project.
District grants
fund small-scale, short-term activities that address needs in your community and communities abroad. (See our D9930 District Grants page for more information). District grants are usually a maximum of NZ$5,000.
Global grants
support scholarships and large international activities with sustainable, measurable outcomes in Rotary's areas of focus. GGs are for US$30,000 plus.
Please ensure you contact our Grants or Foundation Chair if your club is considering applying for, or supporting a global grant.
Disaster response grants
of US$25,000 support relief and recovery efforts in areas that have been affected by natural disaster. These grants can be awarded quickly and have minimal reporting requirements. Only districts, not clubs, can apply for a Disaster Response Grant.
Programs of scale grant
for projects from two million US$. They are distributed over a period of three to five years, and is the largest grant option available through the Rotary Foundation. They are designed to fund international efforts by Rotary members, in partnership with others, to expand proven programme models within our areas of focus in order to benefit more people and in more places and foster lasting change.
