Katikati “Garden Ramble”
The Rotary Club of Katikati is pleased to advise that its biennial ‘Garden Ramble’ is being held on the weekend of 4-5th November 2023. Come and spend the weekend in Katikati and visit seventeen of the best gardens in the district, ranging from large rural gardens to smaller-scale urban landscapes, from Athenree to Aongatete, with many featuring artistic works by locals.
Two years ago our project was limited by covid travel restrictions, so this year we hope many from districts 9920 and 9930 will be able to attend and enjoy the weekend.
Proceeds from the weekend’s activities go towards supporting the local community and youth programmes supported by Rotary. Tickets are available at $30 for the weekend from www.katikati.org.nz or from the Katikati Information Centre at the Arts junction, Main St. on the day.
Visitors with self-contained motorhomes or caravans can be accommodated either at the Primary School, Beach Rd, or at the Uretara Domain site. Stop off in town and wander to see the famous murals, purchase the great Rotary Xmas puddings and a coffee on the Museum forecourt.
Local business and supporter, Kings Seeds, will be open to the public on Saturday, for you to visit their facility and purchase products. Other key sponsors include Tui Garden Products, Grower Direct, and ‘Katch Katikati’.
