There were nine outbound students and a few inbound students who had recently arrived in the country attended the day.Organised by the District Committee it was a very informative and inspirational day for the students. Gabby has been told she is going to Moscow a city in Idaho in District 5080 (Idaho, Washington and British Columbia). She will travel to the USA on 12 January 2019 on an open twelve-month ticket returning about 7 January 2020.
While in Moscow she will be hosted by four families and attend Moscow High School a school of about 750 pupils. She will tour America with other Rotary Exchange Students in her summer holidays - a tour lasting about 4 weeks and covering over 20 States.
Rotary Exchange Students are well supported and the training for their year involves three orientations, with the next one a weekend in Taupo in September and another day in Rotorua in December. Gabby is looking forward to returning to talk to the club later this year.
