Booksale Update  from Ann Pritchard

It is going well with a good crowd of helpers keeping up with the flow of books. I shall be away from 22nd March till April 4th and I have passed control over to Sheena Spittles and Arthur Atkins for that period.

Depot facilitators should be aware that the last day for accepting books will be April 1st. However, you need to check these depots for a day or so after that date.

Those delivering books to the Cool store must be aware that forklifts are moving around inside the canopy are and they should stop at the entrance and check.

Also remember to drive on through after delivering books if the end door is open. The Kiwifruit harvest will possibly start next week, which will mean more truck movements so more vigilance, is needed.

We are also collecting oil filled heaters to assist the DHB “warm homes” project. They may turn up at a depot even though we have asked that they be delivered to the cool store during the sale. If they present a problem please contact Nik Gregg of the DHB on nik.gregg@so.org.nz and he will collect them otherwise we will store them at the Coolstore.
