Purpose
This is a new committee that has been added starting Rotary year 2022-23. The purpose of this committee is to promote diversity, equity and inclusion within Rotary clubs in District 9930.
Key Questions
- Stocktake of clubs – Do we have appropriate diversity in our clubs?
- Drive for gender balance and other groups – Do we need a specialised drive for a particular groups?
- Modes of specialised clubs – Is there a need to have clubs that have members only from a particular community or group or purpose?
Objectives/Goals
- To promote and increase the awareness about diversity, equity and inclusion within Rotary clubs.
- To achieve gender equality and inclusion within Rotary clubs.
- To add at least one new member from a diverse background in an area.
- To provide support to District Membership Committee by promoting inclusion based of different genders, ethnic groups and orientation.
