This month, global leaders expressed their commitment to polio eradication at the G20 summit in Germany – the first time polio was included on the meeting’s agenda.
This comes at an important time as we enter the high season for polio transmission in the polio endemic countries and the programme plans for what will happen to the polio eradication infrastructure once eradication has been achieved.
