The Havelock North Rotary Club is organising the 2017 Hawke’s Bay Today Country2Coast event which will be held on Sunday 30 April.

This is an annual event and is a major fundraiser for the club’s projects.

The Hawke’s Bay Today Country2Coast combines a non-competitive family fun event and a more competitive half marathon that utilises the Hawke’s Bay Trails between the four start points and Farndon Park in Clive.

Participants can enter for a 8km or 15km walk or run, a 20km bike ride, or a more challenging 21.1km half-marathon run.

The 8km and 15km are popular with both young and old, with many entrants returning year after year to enjoy the event.

The half-marathon run is very popular as a training-run for those who are entering the Air New Zealand Hawkes Bay International Marathon, which is held a fortnight after the Country2Coast event.

For this event Rotary enjoys the support of all the three local Councils and many local businesses.

Since the event started in 2010 the Country2Coast has always been held in wonderfully fine weather – which is what you would expect for the Hawkes Bay!
