We would like to acknowledge the passing of Keith Walter a proud Rotarian and a wonderful supporter and crucial part of Interplast’s history.

In 1983, following meetings with interested doctors and plastic surgeons, he facilitated a partnership between Rotary and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, to bring the American Interplast concept of reconstructive plastic surgery to Australia.

After many months of negotiations, meetings and travel his hard work paid off and Interplast Australia was born.

Keith’s legacy continues as Interplast Australia & New Zealand continues to successfully extend its reach across the Asia Pacific and Rotary clubs play an important role in helping fund this vital work.
As I visit 9930 clubs I am heartened to find amazing support for Interplast. Twenty-five thousand people, mostly children have been given life-changing surgery and countless more have been helped from the training of local medical staff, since Keith set to work to make Interplast a reality.

Please think about Interplast and helping more children as we draw closer to the end of the financial year.

We are over half way in our 9930 Challenge to raise $45,000.

Well done so far 9930 -
