Te Aroha is the town that is going ahead in leaps and bounds. We have very few existing properties here for sale but the new builds are going well and selling as soon as they are finished. We have found that city dwellers are finding the location, friendship and beauty of our town something they cant resist. The price is right and they can then enjoy retirement.
Our mountain is amazing and lives up to its name (Aroha = love). Our domain which was donated by the Maori Chief Mokena is at the base of the mountain. We were the first health resort in New Zealand and have the only hot soda water geyser in the world. This water is collected and used for the spas which are set in the domain.
We are central to all good fishing spots, whether they are fresh water of ocean and the bike trails and walking groups add further to our appeal. We also have a full racecourse based just on the outskirts of town.
We have a small but progressive Rotary Club which meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month but we continue on the other weeks to have interesting get-togethers to foster friendship and to discuss projects.
